Surprises at Wimbledon!

Men's singles champion Roger Federer lost in the quarter-final lost to 12th seed Tomas Berdych 6-4 3-6
6-1 6-4. Also Venus Williams lost 6-2 6-3 to Tsvetana Pironkova. Luckily for Britiain Andy Murray beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and booked a place in the semi-finals against Rafa Nadal.

England are out!

The England football team went home in disgrace after they lost 4-1 to Germany which is their biggest defeat in World Cup history! Germany went 2-0 up before a Matty Upson header from a Stevie Gerrard cross gave them hope. A few minutes later, just before Half-Time Frank Lampard hit the crossbar and went a foot in but the Ref disallowed it. Germany then took full control of the game and Thomas Muller scored a brace to make it 4-1. There have been rumours that Fabio Capello will leave but he says that will not happen.

Wimbledon and World Cup!

On Thursday John Inser and Nicolas Mahut finished their Wimbledon game which took two DAYS to complete. It ended 70-68 to Inser and is the longest match in Wimbledon history. In the World Cup Slovakia beat Italy 3-2 to beat them in a Group F 2nd place battle. Now both the finalists of the 2006 World Cup are out.

And we’ve already had a few surprises, Italy were held to a draw with NEW ZEALAND (1-1) France lost 2-0 to Mexico and look to be heading for a early exit and Serbia and Switzerland beat Germany and Spain 1-0! Don’t forget England drawing 0-0 and 1-1 against Algeria (0-0) and USA (1-1)!

Wales lose to South Africa!

A confident Wales team lost to South Africa despite being 16-3 up at one stage. The Wales team were full of Cardiff Blues player who had won the Amlin Challenge Cup (I think!) earlier in the season. They were also full of the Ospreys players who had won the Magners League! But as everybody knows, SA did a very good comeback to win 31-34. It was a very exciting match though!

Rafa sacked!

Rafa Benitez was sacked as Liverpool boss earlier today after a six year spell with the reds. Benitez says he is very sad to leave Pool. The former Valencia boss won the F.A. Cup and guided them to the Champions League Final twice, winning the famous trophy once in 2005 which is remembered for the Reds amazing comeback against AC Milan whom they lost to in the 2007 Final from 3-0 down at half –time to win it in penalties from 3-3. They ( Liverpool) are looking for a new boss.

Federer out!

Roger Federer is out of the French open!

Walcott left out!

Theo Walcott being left out of England's world cup squad was the only surprise in Fabio Capello 23-man team. Veteran defender Jamie Carragher was in the squad but Spurs defender Michael Dawson was left out.

Ospreys win Magners League!

Welsh  Club The Ospreys won the Magners league after beating Leinster  12-17.

Holland win Disability World Cup!

The Netherlands won the BT Paralympics 7 –a – Side with a 3-2 win over The Republic of Ireland. They led 2-0 before Ireland got a goal just before half-time and then scored a few SECONDS into the second half it was just passing and intercepting until Holland scored from a free-kick with 4 minutes to go. The last few minutes were hard but Holland held there nerve and won it. Britain finished third.

Inter win Champions League!

Inter Milan won the Champions League with a Diego Milito inspired 2-0 win over Bayern Munich who had the ball for most of the game but just didn’t put away chances when they had them. Inter on the other hand had fewer chances but always made a scare for Bayern at the least. Jose Mourinho has become only the third manager to win it (the Champions League) twice with two different teams (Porto and Inter) and Inter the first Italian club to win their league the Italian Cup and the Champo League all in one season. Sadly (for Barcelona and Inter) but not for some (AC and Real Madrid) it is almost certain that that game is Jose’s last game as Inter Boss with the huge rumours that he is going to Real for next season.

Chelsea wins prem!

Chelsea wins the premier league thanks to a Drogba hat-trick and an 8-0 win V Wigan! Closest rivals Manchester United beat Stoke 4-0 on what was a frantic last day. But there were other big games as relegated BURNLEY BEAT CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TOTTENHAM 4-2 after losing 2-0 very early on! Arsenal beat Fulham 4-0 as well. Please reply to this question: do you like Chelsea winning the league or do you feel Fergie should have won it?

Who's going to win the prem

Chelsea versus Wigan and Man. United V Stoke today! I think Chelsea are going win though Wigan did beat Arsenal 3-2! And what do think about Spurs getting 4th and mabye 3rd?

My idea

I have had some brilliant ideas in the past and I am about to tell you about one of the best ideas I've had. Everybody knows about when somebody has a really good shot or a really good effort and the goalkeeper is nowhere near it and it hits the post. Goal kick. PURE unluck. What I think is that in that situation you get a corner so you're still in an attacking position. Please tell me if you think that is a good idea or not. Anyway, thank you for listening

As a Liverpool supporter I am really looking forward to finding out who gets  4th! even though we are out of it its still really tight between Spurs and Man.City! I wonder who will win on the last day?
