Andy Murray ended British tennis' 77 year wait for a men's singles champions as he beat Novak Djokovic in straight sets.
The Scot, 26, won under the blazing sun of centre court 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 against the world number 1.
The win sparked scenes of jubilation around the country.
